crazy or compassionate?

So, Steve and I were thinking that our dog Broch, who we love and adore, was getting a little depressed. A little too much cabin fever. Normally, we take him on walks, and he gets to run around outside a bit, and at least walk a couple of miles.
Understandibly so, we have not taken him on a walk since Saturday--the weather has been an issue. We thought we were quite nuts when we braved the weather and ice on saturday in the park.
Little did we know that by Wednesday we would be completely loony. Yes, tonight we took our beloved pooch on an outing. We took him to the park. We slipped and slided and made our legs tired by tensing them with each step we took. Of course no one else is as crazy as we are and stayed cozy at home. We were the only ones there. So we let Broch off the leash, and boy did he run and run and run and run.

As I shouted "WE ARE THE KLUGES!" We slipped and slid to near eternity.
(If you saw Scrubs last week you will understand this statement. Carla and Turk are dealing with their new baby and Carla has depression, and Turk is confident they can handle anything because "WE ARE THE TURKS!")

There is something to be said though for a quiet park at dusk clothed in white, dark except for a few lights, and the reflection off the ice.. a dog who slips and slides right in to the bushes, and it doesn't phase him for a second, or keep him from sliding/running full speed into the next bush. Holding my husbands hand to try and keep warm. It's probably one of those moments when I think back on my first year of marriage, and say....ah, the memories...yes, that's right
WE ARE THE KLUGES!:) and there ain't nothin thats going to stop us!:)
